Land Use Recovery Plan review
Environment Canterbury was required to obtain the views of greater Christchurch communities in undertaking a review of the Land Use Recovery Plan 2013 (LURP) and sought public feedback during two rounds of consultation.
The initial consultation in May 2015 sought feedback on the effectiveness of the LURP and the implementation of the 50 Actions contained within it.
Feedback from this process informed LURP Review draft recommendations.
A second consultation in August 2015 sought feedback on the LURP Review draft recommendations.
Comments received during both consultation periods were considered by Environment Canterbury and a Decision Report with Recommendations (PDF File, 8.81MB) was approved on 24 September 2015 before being presented to the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery.
The report provided a summary of the community and stakeholder comments received as part of the review process, and the methodology, conclusions and recommendations arising from the review.
The Minister approved the recommendations in April 2016.
