Students doing water testingEnviroschools is an environmental action-based programme where young people are empowered to design and lead sustainability projects in their schools, neighbourhoods and country.

The Enviroschools kaupapa is about creating a healthy, peaceful, sustainable world through teaching and learning together.

Schools can sign up to the programme for free and have access to a trained facilitator and a suite of comprehensive resources to help guide the Enviroschools journey.

Our role

We coordinate the Enviroschools programme in Canterbury, working alongside Toimata and our regional partners to create a vibrant and supportive regional Enviroschools network.

Toimata Foundation, a not-for-profit trust based in Hamilton, provides a national hub and works with local government and community agencies to build strong regional networks.

Our team of experienced facilitators guide, motivate and support our network of schools to develop their Enviroschools journey.
