Climate Change and Us: Southern Environmental Trust Forum

“Climate Change and Us” is the theme of this year’s Southern Environmental Trust Forum, taking place on Tuesday, 8 May.

Environment Canterbury chief executive Bill Bayfield is joining speakers from NIWA and University of Canterbury, to discuss various aspects of the forecast impacts of climate change on the Canterbury region.

Presentation topics include:

  • expected changes to weather patterns and climate;
  • coastal issues and community engagement;
  • impact on ‘climate sensitive’ sectors of the economy; and,
  • adaptation for the region.

There will also be time for the audience to ask questions of the speakers.

This is a free public forum, and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible there to join the discussion on climate change.
