Environment Canterbury's GIS server has been published as a public facing GIS web service. This service contains map services which are OGC compliant, and that any capable GIS client can access through the internet to work with the data provided. Also note that esri desktop, web and mobile clients are able to access and utilise datasets from these services.

- NRRP (Canterbury Natural Resources Regional Plan)

The URL to reach the web services for the GIS server is
http://gis.ecan.govt.nz/arcgis/rest/
Available on this end point are the following protocols and integration points.
KML, WMS, SOAP, REST.

Note: This service is available for use by the public, but is not a service we support the end users clients on how to connect and use. You must have enough knowledge yourself to use these services as we do not provide support to end users wishing to utilise them. However, we will try to add useful links to help end users get started in the future.
