Environment Canterbury sends letters out to property owners who have woodburners or pellet fires that are at least 15 years old. The letter informs them of the date they are not able to use their old burner to heat their house. The intention of the letter is to inform people of the requirements under our Air Plan. The properties have been identified from the City or District Council building consent records.
