To be eligible for the Clean Heat Project in Ashburton the property must be located within the designated residential area in Ashburton be built prior to  1 January 2000 and pay the Clean Heat Targeted rate as part of their Environment Canterbury rates.

  

 The house will need to have an open fire or solid fuel burner being used as the main form of heating and is in the main living area. There must be no other forms of fixed heating appliances in this area.
