Pollution related complaints should be reported to the 24-hour Pollution Hotline on 0800 76 55 88. The incident is then referred to the Environment Canterbury monitoring or enforcement teams.

If a resource consent for the activity exists, the incident will be referred to the Resource Management Officers to be monitored. If no resource consent exists, the incident will be referred to the Enforcement Officers for further assessment and follow-up.
