Any consents granted pre-1 July 2007, when the ‘gravel charge’ was adopted in the 2007-2008 Annual Plan will be considered on an individual basis. Those granted after that time with minimum bed level conditions that have been accepted by the applicant will be charged for the consented volume. In making an application you need to consider existing consents as well as those in process for the proposed extraction site, particularly in regard to the effect they may have on your ability to exercise your consent to the full.
