There are subsidies available or an interest free loan available to homeowners in Rangiora who qualify for the Clean Heat Project.
Subsidies
Community Services Cards Holders
• $1200.00 towards a Heating appliance
• 60% towards ceiling and underfloor insulation
• $100.00 towards removing a solid fuel burner or sealing an open fire
The Homeowner pays for the balance of the work.
Without a Community Services Card
• $500.00 towards a Heating appliance
• 33% towards ceiling and underfloor insulation
• $100.00 towards removing a solid fuel burner or sealing an open fire
The Homeowner pays for the balance of the work.
Landlord options without a Community Services Card
• $500.00 towards a Heating appliance
• 33% towards ceiling and underfloor insulation
• $100.00 towards removing a solid fuel burner or sealing an open fire

Landlord options with a tenant that has a Community Services Card
• $500.00 towards a Heating appliance
• 60% towards ceiling and underfloor insulation

Interest free Loan
If your house was built prior to 1 January 2000 you will qualify for an interest free loan. This interest free loan will cover the cost of installing a clean air approved heating appliance and home insulation if required. This loan must be repaid within a ten year period and repayments will appear on your rates demands. There will also be an adminstration fee.
Landlords
There is are also interest loans available for landlords of rental properties depending on certain criteria. Please call our Customer services team to discuss the options.
