If you find a dead animal in Environment Canterbury Regional Parks please inform the rangers where and what you found. The Environment Canterbury rangers will arrange the removal of the animal. If you find a dead bird with rings on its legs either let the rangers know where you found it or carefully put it in a plastic bag with a note where you found it and drop it off at the Environment Canterbury Kainga Depot or Environment Canterbury customer services. Information about ringed birds is vital for the protection of rare birds.
