The person spreading the animal effluent must have prior approval from Environment Canterbury. Please call our Customer Services team or the Pollution Hotline to confirm they are able to undertake this activity.

 

If a resource consent for the activity exists the incident will be referred to the Environmental Protection Officers to be monitored. If no resource consent exists the incident will be referred to the Enforcement Officers for further assessment and follow-up.
