Pursuant to Clause 5 of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Canterbury Regional Council (Environment Canterbury) gives notice it has prepared the following variation to Chapter 5, Water Quantity of the Proposed Canterbury Natural Resources Regional Plan.

Variation 7 introduces Schedule WQN1.10 (and related amendments) which sets out environmental flow and allocation regimes for the taking of surface water in the Conway River/Tutae Putaputa catchment.

Variation 7 was notified on 20 October 2007. Submissions closed 3 August 2007 and 5 submissions were received. The Summary of Decisions Requested (SODR) was notified on the 9th February 2008. Further Submissions for Variation 7 closed at 5pm on the 7th March 2008.
