Environment Canterbury’s Community Plan sets the direction for the council’s planning for activities over the 10 years 2006-2016. The plan reflects the significant challenges that the region is facing in sustainable environmental management, particularly in relation to water and air resources. The plan is based on regional community outcomes which have been identified in conjunction with other organisations and agencies with a stake in Canterbury’s future. The outcomes consider the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of the community and reflect local priorities. It also includes Part B - funding and financial policies.
