On 5 December 2013, Environment Canterbury resolved to accept the recommendations of the Hearing Commissioners on the proposed Land & Water Regional Plan and to adopt these as Council’s decisions (see the meeting agenda paper). Please note that these recommendations and particularly the amendments to the Land & Water Regional Plan carry no legal weight until the decisions are publicly notified on 18 January 2014. Until that date, the as notified version of the Land & Water Regional Plan (notified on 11 August 2012) applies.
