Environment Canterbury is responsible for planning and managing public transport services across the region. This includes bus and ferry services in Greater Christchurch, bus services in Timaru, Total Mobility services for registered users with mobility impairments, and Community Vehicle Trusts in areas that are not serviced by the public bus system.
Environment Canterbury work closely with the region’s city and district councils as they provide, and maintain, the onstreet infrastructure to support these services, such as bus stops, seats and shelters.
