A review of the Metro Strategy has just begun with the aim of improving public transport in the Greater Christchurch area. Residents are encouraged to have their say about the future of public transport. Submissions close Friday 16 April 2010.

Governors Bay Bus Survey Stage 2
A recent survey showed that Governors Bay residents supported a public transport service linking them to Metro services in Christchurch. We would now like to establish whether residents of Governors Bay are willing to contribute though a targeted transport rate for this proposed new service. Submissions close Friday 9 April 2010.

Notification of applications for Resource Consent under Section 93(2) or 94C of the Resource Management Act 1991.

When a resource consent is received by Environment Canterbury, the Council conducts an assessment of its environmental effects. If the environmental effects are more than minor, the resource consent requires a public notification under Section 93(1) of the Resource Management Act 1991.
