Annual Air Quality Monitoring Report 2001
Environment Canterbury’s air quality monitoring network in 2001 consisted of 6 monitoring units located in Canterbury towns: Kaiapoi, Timaru and Washdyke, an industrial area north of Timaru and in the Christchurch suburbs of St Albans, Hornby and Sumner. These were supplemented with data from a Christchurch site (St Albans, Packe Street), which is owned by the Ministry for the Environment. In addition, some monitoring was carried out in Riccarton. This report summarises the data available from these sites in 2001 and in previous years for which comparable monitoring data are available.
