Weedbusters

Weedbusters has been set up by an interagency group, including the Department of Conservation, the Regional Government Biosecurity Managers Group, Biosecurity New Zealand, New Zealand Biosecurity Institute, the Nursery and Garden Industry Association, and Federated Farmers to raise awareness about the increasing threat of weeds or pest plants to New Zealand's environment.

The programme is aimed at increasing participation in managing weeds, sharing resources, providing clear and consistent information, and celebrating the efforts of individuals, communities and organisations in reducing weeds throughout New Zealand.
